A day to remember - Friday 6th of July 2012

Well, the monsoons have just set in, and here I am, after a long time trying to keep my blog going. Friday 6th of July 2012 was a day that would be engraved in my memory, especially the fun and the troubles all that was packed together.

Friday morning 9.30am, we gathered in the office lobby to discuss the plans for the evening. As usual I thought that it was a joke and no one would turn for an outing, Jangastami, as I would call her and Ruth being the pioneers of handles management. Gaddam would occasionally join them in the handle events. This time she had given hand in advance. However the other 2 girls agreed to go out for an outing after office and a seemingly serious plan was made. And I was sure that this was a flop because these guys planned for an outing... alright, but not  the place.

We also decided to go out for lunch that day. I thought, "Lunch and an outing both on the same day.....oh crap!! give me a break". However, we all went out for lunch and after a confusion about the place, we finally settled down at KFC. After lunch we headed back to the office.

And evening came and we were ready to go out. I was again skeptical about the plan. However we are were ready to leave and still have no place in mind. Then we decided Inorbit mall. We all headed there, not aware of the events that were to follow. We did some shopping and then decided to sit for a snack. After a couple of dilly-dallying, we settled down at the food court to grab a bite.

Now it was time to leave, we headed to exit and saw the heavy downpour. We went outside and saw people running hay wire behind autos and taxis, all, in a frenzy to get home. There was frustration and panic in the air. All thiese mixed in improper proportions turned out amusing. Finally we decided to book a cab. After a lot of trials, we finally had one booked and it was told that we would be getting it after one hour. We all walked back inside the mall fully drenched. After an hour we got the cab and all us frozen to smithereens went back home.

Indeed it was a wonderful day!!! WE ALL HAD FUN LIKE CRAZY... SURELY A DAY TO REMEMBER.!!

Calligraphy pens (Flex)

Well, here we are, half way through June and finally the monsoons have set in and I'm back, trying to keep my blog going. As I was pondering on what should I blog about, many ideas came up and finally decided to blog on this one, a rather peculiar topic but an interesting one when you get to know about. And also blogging about this would do justice to the title of my blog. Calligraphy is the art of writing, as we all know. The main instrument used in calligraphy is a calligraphy pen and of course followed by the skill. It is obvious that the pen used for calligraphy is a fountain pen, yes...its right, but the only thing is that calligraphy pens have a flexible nib for thin and thick strokes, that's whats gives the name calligraphy pens or flex.  So what is this Flex nib or Flex?....how do they look like and what makes them different from the conventional fountain pens?..... Flexible nibs produce variation in line thickness by applying high pressure on down strokes a...
