Atheist's Day

After listening to the passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel declaring, 'Case dismissed.'.....

The case was created by an atheist against the Easter & Passover holy days. He hired an attorney to bring a discrimination case against Christians, Jews & observances of their holy days. The argument was, it was unfair that atheists had no such recognized day(s).
As soon the judge declared it, the lawyer immediately stood objecting to the ruling saying, 'Your honor, how can you possibly dismiss this case? The Christians have Christmas, Easter & others. The Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur & Hanukkah. Yet my client & all other atheists have no such holidays.'

The judge leaned forward in his chair saying, 'But you do. Your client, counsel, is woefully ignorant.'

The lawyer said, 'Your Honor, we are unaware of any special observance or holiday for atheists.'
The judge said, 'The calendar says April 1st is 'April Fools Day'... Psalm 14:1 states, 'The fool says in his heart, there is no God.' Thus, it is the opinion of this court, that if your client says there is no God, then he is a fool. Therefore, April 1st is his day. Court is adjourned....'

The point of this story is to brand atheists as fools. Nevertheless, the idea of designating April 1st as an "Atheist's Day" seems to be growing in popularity among atheists themselves..!

Temple Baptist Church - old days                                     Temple Baptist Church - today                                                The auditorium  Well there is a true and a touching story behind this. The story goes... A sobbing little girl stood near a small  church  from which  she had been turned away because it ‘was too crowded’.  “I can’t go to  Sunday School ,” she sobbed to the pastor as he walked by. Seeing her shabby, unkempt appearance, the pastor guessed the reason and, taking her by the hand, took her inside and found a place for her in the Sunday School class. The child was so touched that

Calligraphy pens (Flex)

As I was pondering on what should I blog about, many ideas came up and finally decided to blog on this one, a rather peculiar topic but an interesting one when you get to know about. And also blogging about this would do justice to the title of my blog. Calligraphy is the art of writing, as we all know. The main instrument used in calligraphy is a calligraphy pen and of course followed by the skill. Flexible nibs produce variation in line thickness by applying high pressure on down strokes a
